Ratio upgrade
It has been reported this is the sixth year in a row of an increase in the HR departments across the country. The ratio of HR staff to total employees has been upgraded to an all-time high of 1.4 full-time HR specialist to 100 employees. An annual survey of nearly 700 human resources professionals reported 73 percent of HR departments have at least one specialist on staff.
Using more than one HR solution
The rise in HR specialists on staff also results in a rise in HR solutions. Human resources departments are just using one software solution to streamline their administrative tasks. According to the 2017 Paychex Pulse of HR Survey, 44 percent of companies have several separate HR solutions being used and a 15 percent are still continuing to manually complete their human resources work.
