The story begins…
During his presidency campaign for the 2008 election, Barack Obama’s cornerstone was to provide healthcare to all Americans. He was not the first to propose this, as many former presidents unsuccessfully tried to present a similar idea.
The Affordable Care Act started its journey in March of 2010 with former president Obama signing the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act into law. For the next 3-4 years, the act went through some hurdles and finally cleared in June of 2012 when the Supreme Court upheld some of the provisions of the health care law. By 2014, major provisions went into effect and it became “the largest middle-class tax cut for health care.”
